JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to work in a role where you really make a difference? As a personal representative, you will support people in vulnerable life situations and help them strengthen their own abilities. You are independent from authorities and always work based on the individual's will and assignment.

The work is characterized by a rehabilitative approach where the focus is on strengthening the individual's ability. To succeed, you need to be empathetic, secure, and independent, while also having integrity, flexibility, and the ability to collaborate.

Your tasks include:

• Working from a behavioral science or health pedagogy perspective and meeting people with various neuropsychiatric disabilities in their daily lives.
• Supporting clients in understanding their rights and guiding them through what support measures are available, how to apply for them, and what the process entails.
• Acting as a guide and companion in contacts with authorities, primary care, psychiatry, and other actors both in preparations and during meetings.
• Together with colleagues, identifying shortcomings in the welfare system that affect the target group and raising these to the management group for development.
• Working independently with meetings in clients' homes, at the office, and with authorities, based on the client's needs and situation.
• Documenting and communicating clearly in both speech and writing, as well as using MI (motivational interviewing) as a method in the work.

QUALIFICATIONS

The position is temporary, with the possibility of extension.

• You should have a university degree as a behavioral scientist, health educator, or similar higher education that the employer considers equivalent.
• You should also have experience working with people who have various forms of neuropsychiatric disabilities.
• You should have good knowledge of the rights of clients, and good knowledge of what support measures are available to apply for and how to apply for them, as you will be the guide for help and support as well as assist in contact with authorities, primary care, psychiatry, etc.
• Knowledge of economics is an advantage.
• You should be able to express yourself well in speech and writing and have knowledge of and be able to work according to MI (motivational interviewing).

To succeed in the role, you are:

• Taking initiative, showing courage in challenging situations, and clearly distinguishing between the matter and the person.
• Easy to create contact and build trusting relationships in social contexts.
• Showing a good understanding of other people's situations, listening actively, and meeting the environment with consideration and humility.
• Contributing to an inclusive working method by working norm-consciously. Since the Preventive activities are HBTQI-certified, it is included to actively strengthen competence in the area and work for equality and everyone's equal value.
